David Boreanaz ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, der am 16. Mai 1969 in Buffalo, New York, geboren wurde. Seine Karriere begann mit einer kleinen Rolle in der Serie "Eine schrecklich nette Familie" im Jahr 1993, wo er einen Freund von Kelly Bundy spielte. Sein Durchbruch gelang ihm mit der Rolle des Vampirs Angelus, später Angel genannt, in der Serie "Buffy – Im Bann der Dämonen" von 1997 bis 2003. Diese Rolle war so populär, dass sie zu einem Spin-off führte, in dem Boreanaz die Hauptfigur verkörperte: "Angel – Jäger der Finsternis". Parallel zu seiner Fernsehkarriere wirkte er auch in Kinofilmen mit, darunter "Schrei wenn du kannst" aus dem Jahr 2001. Von 2005 bis 2017 war David Boreanaz festes Mitglied des Ensembles der Krimiserie "Bones – Die Knochenjägerin", in der er den FBI-Agenten Seeley Booth spielte. Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Schauspieler übernahm Boreanaz auch Regieaufgaben, so führte er 2012 bei einer Folge der Fernsehserie "The Finder" Regie. Seit 2017 ist er in der Hauptrolle der Fernsehserie "SEAL Team" zu sehen, bei der er ebenfalls Regie bei einigen Episoden führte. Boreanaz wuchs in Philadelphia auf. Privatleben erfuhr einige Veränderungen: Im Juni 1997 heiratete er seine irische Freundin, doch die Ehe wurde 1999 geschieden. Seit dem 24. November 2001 ist Boreanaz mit dem Model Jaime Bergman verheiratet. Das Paar hat einen Sohn und eine Tochter und lebt gemeinsam in Los Angeles.
